This is a very funny train station; the Thai vegetable market vendors pull back their temporary stalls and remove their produce off the railway track to allow a cross-country train to pass through the middle of the town of Maekrong, 60 kilometres west of Bangkok, Thailand. The bustling market, in the middle of the town, has to scramble from the tracks four times a day as trains pass, a scene repeated in other rural centres and some city slums across Thailand every day.
Check out this video. First we see the train rumbling slowly into Bangkok’s station.
1) Train on Single Track Through Bangkok Shanty-town

2) As soon as the train passes the market traders come out from under their canopies

3) Here they come, across the track with their goods.

This funny train station is recreated after every train passes through, which is about 4 times a day
4) You can barely see the track.

Check out our Bangkok train / market video clip. You will be amazed at these market entrepreneurs.

Fascinating Picture of Children

The picture poses all sorts of questions, for example:
- What is the girl on the left doing?
- Why is the lane so deserted.
- Do they always make this journey without adult supervision?
